What the site is

Oscalyden is an independent information guide about travel in Fiordland, New Zealand. It is not a travel agency or a booking service. It does not sell tours, flights, transfers or rooms and it does not take payments.

Information, not advice

The guide is written conservatively from general public knowledge and is offered in good faith, but roads, weather, closures, rules, operators and prices change without notice. Nothing on the site is professional, safety, legal or medical advice. Before you travel, check current road status, weather and track conditions with the road authority, the weather service and the Department of Conservation, and confirm times, prices and cancellation terms with each operator. You are responsible for your own decisions and for your own safety.

Hotel listings

Hotel names, descriptions and photographs come from the Hotelbeds content catalogue and may be incomplete or out of date. Oscalyden shows no prices and no live availability. To book, or to confirm any detail, contact the hotel directly using the details on its page.

Third-party links and content

Links to hotel websites, maps and other outside sites are provided for convenience. Oscalyden does not control them and is not responsible for their content or practices. Photographs and descriptions belong to their respective owners; images created for the guide pages are illustrative.

Using the site

You may read the site and link to it. You may not copy it wholesale, scrape the hotel list, or use it in a way that disrupts it. We may change or remove content at any time.

No warranty and limits

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Oscalyden is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on it, including missed departures, closed roads or cancelled tours. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
